Add to Radbox from Google Reader

This is very useful, but for some reason it adds the video twice! Also, it opens the Radbox homepage on a new tab. Is that the intended behaviour? It would be much better if it behaved exactly like the bookmarklet.

Yannis
It should not add videos twice. We will look into this.
Regarding the new tab/window, this is expected behavior. It's part of our plan to close the new tab/window automatically, after successfully parsing the link.
Thank for the reply, it seems to have stopped adding the video twice today, so looking good!

Yannis
Glad you like it. Keep giving us feedback. :)
Oops, it now saved 3 copied of the video!

I'm using Google Chrome 5 on Windows XP.
Can you pass me the URL which added 3 copies to Video? Will help us in debugging the issue further.
Not sure about the specific link, but it was definitely on failblog.org.

What happens if the rss item in Google Reader points to a page with more than one video on it? Would it add an item per video? If so, that may be what is happening. I notice more than one video sometimes added from the single page, but perhaps they are different ones that were also on it.
In case there are multiple videos on a page, like http://mashable.com/2010/10/12/best-viral-videos/ then all videos from this page will be added to Radbox account. For page with single video like http://vimeo.com/15851337 single video will be added. Each video will have its own thumbnail.

Let us know if same video is added multiple times.
Ah, that must be what happened then. I'll keep an eye out just in case though.

Thanks for your replies!
Got an example. Adding the link http://failblog.org/2010/10/16/epic-fail-video-transformers-fail adds the main video, plus 2 more videos further down in the page (in the comments). The trouble is, all 3 videos are named from the page title, they are called:
- Transformers FAIL - Epic Fail Funny Videos and Funny Pictures
- Transformers FAIL - Epic Fail Funny Videos and Funny Pictures (2)
- Transformers FAIL - Epic Fail Funny Videos and Funny Pictures (3)

Which is why I originally thought it was the same video over and over again. If there's a way to name them something different, that would at least help with the confusion when one doesn't expect more than one video.
While adding the video, page title is used to name the videos. We fetch metadata (description, title etc) for videos behind the scene. This is available for some popular video sources like Youtube and Vimeo, and not for others (yet) so after some time, youtube videos will be titled appropriately. Check out our blog post on automatic metadata - http://blog.radbox.me/post/756727772/automatic-metadata

We will definitely consider the user-defined naming of videos. Thanks for idea.
